- Thou shall not make thyself a god or big boss to the people that you lead.
- Thou shall not allow people to flatter you, and thou shall not take for your self big titles.
- Thou shall not require an unquestioning loyalty from others, nor shall you teach people that you are their covering.
- Thou shall not be a spiritual social climber, nor shall you purchase a theological degree online.
- Thou shall lead with meekness and grace.
- Thou shall not seek to control and manipulate others, nor use intrigues and scheming to get your own way.
- Thou shall not have two standards of conduct for your public and private life, nor shall you have secret relationships or sexual fantasies.
- Thou shall not interfere with or weaken the marriages of others by usurping authority over them.
- Thou shall not compete with others in ministry for the allegiance or praise of people.
- Thou shall not discourage people from joining other churches or being sent as missionaries with other groups.

Dear Floyd and Sally ~ Blessings to you both from the West Coast (of California).
You are both in our prayers (as well as your family). I am honored to read your "The Servant Leader's Ten Commandments" - commandments, by the way, that you both have p r o v e n over the the years.
My heart tugs towards Africa. But, whether Africa or California, or another continent, may Jesus remind us all of these guidelines that you have posted. As a teacher, I find that #6 creeps into our classrooms! Kids really work this one! LOL Ah, but so do we, as adults, of course. Each one of us faced in the workplace with challenges to get ahead, and seek control of our own little world of influence.
Thank you, again, for these words to live by. As I face a new school year, I will post these so that me and my students can be mindful of the mutual respect we all should live by.

Hi Sally and Floyd
I thought these 10 commandments were excellent!
Also, I have a question: I read the "you see bones..." book a few years ago and loved it. I liked it so much a gave it to a friend. I was asked today what DNA stood for and my mind drew a blank. So...
...what did you write that DNA stood for?
Keep up the good work and may you continue to be blessed!
